Over the years, I have been to Artists in Recovery, Musicians meetings, Debtors Anonymous, Business Owners Debtors Anonymous and many other types of 12 Step meetings. Our organization believes we need a meeting for entrepreneurs to discuss the many challenges of being an entrepreneur and being in recovery.
I love the traditions of AA. I love the 12 Step fellowships. I view our “Entrepreneurs in Recovery” meeting as another topic of conversation and recovery. Can we bring the principles of the program to our work lives? How can we create more jobs and opportunities for the newly sober? How can we balance our busy lives to have time for our recovery, our family, ourselves and our business? What resources are available in the community to help us launch or grow our business? Where can I find a person who understands the dedication it takes to launch and grow a business? How can entrepreneurs make a difference in the recovery community?
